Description
Cassidy La Crème is a multi-lingual and multi-disciplinary queer performer, event producer, speaker, host, and community advocate widely known as “The Hype Woman You Never Knew You Needed!” dedicated to creating spaces where LGBTQIAPN+ people feel safe, seen, celebrated, and genuinely welcome. As a proud bisexual/pansexual woman, Cassidy champions visibility across all expressions of queerness — including those who are femme, straight-passing, or often made to feel “not queer enough.” Her work spans live performances across local and international stages as a multi-lingual recording artist, DJ, MC, and more… She is a passionately active member throughout the LGBTQIAPN+ community, including hosting a weekly show on JOY FM, creating the queer music event “The Big CAMP Countdown” celebrating iconic queer anthems, and performing at Pride-focused and mainstream events such as the Euphoria Social Gala Awards, Luna Park Pride, and the AFLW Pride Games as the In-stadium Stadium DJ for the Richmond Tigers. Passionately anti-gatekeeping, Cassidy actively mentors emerging queer artists, advocating for fair pay, access, and confidence as they move into broader creative and corporate spaces — striving to be the ‘industry’ big sister she never had. Above all, Cassidy aims to be the person people hope to encounter when they enter queer spaces: kind, warm, inclusive, and joy-led — reminding the community that it is strongest when every identity is affirmed, every voice is valued, and people are celebrated exactly as they are.
