Belonging Starts with Listening
Stronger communities are built when we come together, listen to each other and learn from one another.
We’re proud that our Board Member Jamal Hakim, Chair of Democracy in Colour, was part of important conversations at the Racial Justice Network Strategy Retreat.
A heartfelt thank you to Aisya for sharing this footage with us and giving our community the opportunity to learn from these conversations.
The retreat brought together First Nations, multicultural, union, faith, climate and human rights organisations to discuss how we can work together to challenge racism, remove barriers and create communities where everyone feels respected, valued and included.
At Euphoria Foundation, we know that many people across LGBTQIAPN+ communities experience different forms of discrimination, including racism, cultural exclusion, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and other challenges that can impact a person's sense of belonging.
Creating communities where everyone feels seen, supported and valued takes listening, understanding and action.
On International Day of Friendship, we’re reminded that connection matters. Strong communities are built through relationships, respect and standing alongside one another.
When we support each other, we create stronger communities for everyone.
Together, we can build a future where everyone feels they belong.
