The 2025 Minus18 National LGBTQIA+ Youth Survey found that 89% of LGBTQIA+ young people have faced bullying, harassment, or violence because of who they are.

Private Lives 3, La Trobe University 2020
The Private Lives 3 national survey found that approximately 75% of LGBTQIA+ adults in Australia have experienced suicidal thoughts in their lifetime.

Data from Private Lives 3 shows that over half of trans men (52.9%) and a significant proportion of trans women (40%) reported lifetime suicide attempts.

Named in tribute to Lifeline Australia’s crisis support line (13 11 14), the 3-1-4 Movement honours the importance of crisis support while promoting daily rituals of care and connection.
