More Than Therapy- Community Mental Health in Queer Space

What if mental health support didn’t only live inside a therapy room?

In this final summer grid episode of Talk Therapy To Me, Ashley and Maxi are joined by Dr Judy Tang (she/her) and T (they/them) from Euphoria Social to explore how community, culture, and collective care shape queer wellbeing.

Dr Judy speaks about intersectionality and visibility — how culture, migration, language, disability, and identity influence whether someone feels safe in queer spaces. T shares heartfelt reflections from lived experience on peer-led care, everyday check-ins, and the kinds of spaces where people can simply exist without needing to explain themselves.

Together, they unpack:
The 314 Movement and the power of simple peer check-ins
Why therapy alone can’t address everything queer people carry
What inclusive queer spaces do well — and where they can do better

And much more!

“Last night’s Summer Grid show felt extra special ✨ Maxi said pls put a love heart here 💓

Huge shout out to our wonderful guests Dr Judy and T! Thank you for spending the evening with us and sharing such a thoughtful, generous conversation about community mental health and why it truly matters for all of us.

We talked about visibility, intersectionality, and the importance of making sure no one’s experience is pushed to the margins. These are conversations our communities need, and we’re so grateful to have voices like yours in the room.

And a big congratulations to Dr Judy on receiving the Order of Australia Metal (OAM), such a well-deserved recognition for the incredible work you’ve done for community wellbeing 💛

Also, massive love to @euphoria_social Euphoria.Social for the powerful 314 Movement and the work you continue to do in bringing people together.

Special thanks to Ben Ross for the beautiful artwork!

Love you all and have a good night~”
